I am Gokhan.
Like most people, I did not grow up learning how money actually works.
My parents did their best,
but real financial education was not taught at home and it was not taught in school.
I immigrated from Turkey to the United States as an adult.
Living in the US opened my eyes.
It was a turning point that changed how I saw money, opportunity, and personal responsibility.
Like many others, I made mistakes along the way.
I took on debt without fully understanding the long term cost.
I made financial decisions without seeing the full picture.
For a long time, money felt stressful instead of empowering.
That frustration pushed me to take ownership.
Instead of chasing shortcuts or quick wins, I focused on building my own financial education.
I studied Entrepreneurship through Arizona State University and completed theFinancial Markets program from Yale University to deepen my understanding of how money, markets, and decision making really work. I also completed the Money, Wealth, and Happiness Specialization from the University of Illinois, focusing on the connection between financial decisions and overall well being.
I learned how debt actually functions, how investing really works, and how financial decisions compound over time, both positively and negatively.
Over time, those lessons changed everything.
Today, I can honestly say I am able to live off my investments.
This project exists because this is not theory for me.
It is lived experience.
I built this platform to help others gain clarity, confidence, and control by learning the fundamentals properly and taking ownership of their financial lives.
